• In January, cut back 2-3 buds the shoots on wisteria that were pruned last summer.
• Water sparingly if compost is drying out.
• Towards the end of February, permanent plants can be top-dressed with a little fresh potting compost.
• If your pump is in the pond run it for a short while every fortnight.
• Send our lawnmower for servicing while it isn't needed.
• Clean paths and patios of moss and dirt or they'll become dangerously slippery.
