Happy New Year to all of you garden lovers, plant enthusiasts, and backyard warriors. It has been a wonderful year at the garden center with landscape installations, new plant varieties, so many new products and our expansion with the new design center. With all that has been going on I have spent a lot of time outside the nursery and have bumped into some of you around town. A common question after the “Hello’s” is “what do I do with my garden this time of the year?” so I have decided to write a series of Sunday morning blogs to help “the busy gardener”. What is the busy gardener? It’s anyone who works, has a family, a pet, friends, or anything else that leaves you scratching your head at the end of the day asking ” where did my time go?” I mean lets be honest with each other and admit watering and weeding the garden can just be a lot of work when the kids have school, the boss sent you 20 emails after hours, and the spouse is picking up take out at 8 pm. Who has free time to spend in the garden?
There are a varieties of reasons I could give you that gardening will help your mental and physical health but time (especially here in NY) always seems to slip away. So I’m hoping that the upcoming blogs will show you how experience all the joys of the garden, educate you a little, and make you laugh while fitting into your busy schedule. Remember your garden is for enjoying not for stressing. See you Sunday morning!
